Cycling in the Broumov area
Gentle cycling routes through the Broumov basin and more demanding terrain towards the Broumov Walls — all right from the door of Vila Marcelka.
A dense network of routes for every level
The Broumov area (Broumovsko) is crossed by a dense network of marked cycling routes of all difficulty levels — from a gentle ride through the Broumov basin to more demanding terrain towards the Broumov Walls and the Polish Table Mountains. The area around Machov is especially popular with cyclists, with rides up to Božanovský Špičák and across the border into neighbouring Poland and the Kladsko region.
The routes run along quiet local roads and forest tracks and can easily be combined with a trip across the border into Poland's Kladsko region. The highest point of the Broumov Walls is Božanovský Špičák (773 m), offering a panoramic view over the whole Broumov area and the Table Mountains.
Cycling buses and cross-border loops
Cycling buses and marked cross-border routes also make it easy to complete full-day loops, returning by a different route than the one you set out on. This lets you combine a visit to the Broumov Walls with a trip into Poland's Kladsko region without having to ride back the same way.
Families with children will enjoy the calmer stretches in the Broumov basin, while more experienced cyclists will appreciate the tougher terrain and climbs towards the mountain ridges.
