Weekend near Adršpach with kids
Two days in rock towns that children can manage and will enjoy: the smaller, quieter Ostaš on Saturday and the Adršpach Rocks on Sunday. Plus a tip for a rainy day.
Saturday: Ostaš rock town
Ostaš is smaller and quieter than Adršpach, which makes it a perfect warm-up for children. It is 15 km from the villa, about 20 minutes by car. From the car park near Police nad Metují a nature trail loops through rock passages and a labyrinth; allow 2–3 hours.
In the afternoon the children can unwind in the villa garden.
Sunday: Adršpach Rocks
Head to the Adršpach Rocks first thing in the morning, when it is quietest. Buy a ticket for a specific hour online in advance. The main circuit is about 3.5 km with steps and footbridges, so leave the pushchair in the car and bring a baby carrier.
Children love the named rock formations and the boat trip on the Rock Lake (May–October, cash only).
If it rains
Broumov Monastery (2 km from the villa) offers indoor tours. Centrum Walzel in Meziměstí (10 km) has bowling, a climbing wall and a salt cave.
Accommodation for families
