The Broumov region in winter
In winter the Broumov region is quiet and uncrowded. The slopes are 3 km from the villa, there are dozens of kilometres of cross-country trails, and after a day in the snow there is a wellness centre right in Broumov.
Slopes 3 km from the villa
The nearest is the Janovičky ski area, about 5 minutes by car. Its snowmade slopes suit families with children best; there is a ski school, rental and evening skiing on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Cross-country skiing
The region has dozens of kilometres of regularly groomed cross-country trails linking the areas around Machov, Teplice nad Metují and Police nad Metují all the way to Karłów in Poland.
Winter trips
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows at Hvězda is at its most beautiful under snow; it is a 1 km walk from Křinice (5 km from the villa). Broumov Monastery is 2 km away – check winter opening hours in advance.
After a day in the snow
Wellness Hotel Veba in Broumov has a year-round 25 m pool, whirlpool and saunas and is open to the public; booking is required. More on our swimming and wellness page.
At Vila Marcelka you can store skis in the lockable garage, and parking is free. The price is CZK 750 per person per night including the local tax. Check available dates.
